The Frauenzentrum Weiberwirtschaft (Woman’s Economy Women’s Centre)

With commitment, imagination and self-confidence, we want to provide women with the opportunity for cultural exchange, communication and self-discovery in our projects and work together to change the often-disadvantaged situation of women in our society. Based on the experience gained that effective action could grow out of shared experience, we want to make women-specific issues and problems visible and bring women's perspectives to the public.

The Frauenzentrum Weiberwirtschaft views itself as a free space for women and girls, as a place for women's culture, for meeting up and talking in an emancipatory atmosphere, as a place of retreat, contemplation and reflection, a place for female perspectives and feminist ideas, as a place provided by women for women.

In addition to the regular cultural events, workshops and exhibitions in the gallery café, the Weiberwirtschaft offers advice and information for women in crisis situations, counselling for lesbians, a women's library and feminist educational events. The Weiberwirtschaft offers space for women with and without children, with a husband or wife, for women living alone, immigrants, unemployed women, girls, students, pensioners...
