Q. kju_point

Q. - kju_point
Q. [kju_point] sees itself as a queer-feminist network point in Halle. Anyone interested in queer-feminist topics is invited to come along or join in.
"We are interested in ways of being beyond norm and rigid categories. We want to hear and hear the voices of people who are constantly marginalized in our society, push the focus to where it is far too rare, and ask us if living together and learning from each other can not be different and much more beautiful. We invite everyone to use our event week to broaden horizons in respectful togetherness and question what is supposedly "normal". We want to think with you alternatives in which everyone can feel comfortable. And have a lot of fun. "
"Q. [kju_point] as a temporary alternative space is a creative offside and beautiful other. Like a garment that can be tried on without obligation and fits surprisingly like a glove. True to the motto of many LaDIY festivals, we follow the philosophy: to think for ourselves, to do it ourselves, to bring in ourselves, to learn from each other. "
The Q. team is made up of people from queer feminist action planning in Halle: que (e) r_einsteigen and the Dornrosa eV with the women's center Weiberwirtschaft, Radio Corax and numerous individual supporters.

Clitzilla: The Birth of Joy
Performance by Linn Uyi A ihasee with Music by Peace Jäger; Performed by vulvae

(1) In the beginning there was nothing. No joy, no pleasure, no sensation, just an empty hole. Then Goddess Vulvae came & created Clitzilla. (2) Now the earth was fertilized by Clitzillas Love & from her pelvic floor she sprouted the little vulvae. The Spirit of the Goddess was hovering over the waters. (3) & the Goddess said, "Let there be orgasm" & there was pleasure. (4) The Goddess saw that pleasure was good & she separated pleasure from the binary submission. (5) The Goddess called the pleasure "clitoris" & the submission she called "patriarchy" & there was evening & there what morning - the first day of Q. [kju_point].

QUEERE ART FROM HALL (SAALE):
-------------------------------------------------- -----
conversions
by Yommana Klüber

Who is allowed to marry? This question is more explosive than ever with the decision of the Federal Council of 2o17 "Marriage for All". But what does she do with those who are affected by her? The object whose purpose is to marry is the bridal gown.
I ask people to meet the bridal gown, which can not approach marriage light-footed, because, because of their gender identity or sexuality, they struggle to accept a concept as theirs that was not theirs. The dress, with all the meanings that point in all directions, is linguistically as well as physically felt, boomed, interrogated.

Un jeu de paume
by Maïté Darroman

Food is the active acceptance of an unknown environment within ourselves. All other contacts with the outside world through our bodies are less immediate: hands can let go of the touch, eyes can look away, clothes can be discarded. In Jeu de Paume, food is being exploited beyond its known potential. Taking social conventions as an opportunity, I find my own way to work off the material in order to be able to physically and mentally rediscover it. To encounter myself: the exploration of basic attitudes, to become one and to recognize. Unconscious norms and behaviors stand in the way of me as psychological and physical resistance and demand that I reposition myself. Finding, confronting, or deforming my dealings with them is an integral part of my performances. In them, I let the observers participate in my explorations. I show my argument & release it for discussion. It gives impetus to discover, dismantle and reshape own resistances.

EXHIBITION OPENING
-------------------------------------------------- -----
A Muslim man - not a Muslim man ?!
Exhibition of the Association of Binational Families and Partnerships

What pictures do I have if I imagine a Muslim man? Do I see a hip, a fine, an old, a good looking man or, more importantly, a bearded one with Jelabiya? What do I imagine, is it the role of the "Muslim" father in his family? Do I see a happy person who has lost his heart to his child, or the tyrant at the living room table?

The prejudiced image of the Muslim man is the topic of the exhibition. It is shown what can be and what is & presents the visitors with the challenge of questioning their own image.

The exhibition can be visited during the week of the event always 30 minutes before the start of the event.
